A new Tsunami for soon?

The world is celebrating the second anniversary of tsunami that hit south Asia two years ago on December 26, 2004 because of a seismic activity under the ocean, the magnitude of the earthquake that caused the tsunami reached 9.2, in addition to that the earthquake engendered waves of 10 meters, thus 230,000 persons dead in a horrible way, and today an other seismic activity came to frighten the frustrated populations and remind victims of horrible moments of two years ago.

 

On Tuesday an earthquake struck off the coast of Taiwan , the Japanese meteorological bureau said its magnitude was between 6.7 and 7.2 sparking fears of an other tsunami, the bureau said a  destructive tsunami might hit  the small northern town of Basco but the warning was quickly withdraw. One person died and three others were injured in Taiwan where the quake sent object flying in the capital , Taipei, the media reported.

 

It has been said also that this violent earth quake damaged infrastructures as a major bridge, cracked roads and downed power lines that caused electrical fire. The tremor was centered between Taiwan and the Philippine about 21 kilometres off the southern tip of Taiwan. The fears are growing since the previous tsunami devastated 11 countries leaving 230,000 persons dead and missing, many persons were there for holidays among them were the French, Lebanese, Canadians …ect
