Mubarak condemns the Israeli attack in Ramallah.

« A routine arrest activity” this is how an Israeli spokesman described the Israeli operation in west bank of Ramallah that killed four Palestinians and where four men were detained. The Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak condemned the attack and told the Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, that act was unacceptable adding that violence should stop immediately if peace is the main aim of Israel.

 Mena state news agency reported Mubarak expressed the Egyptian indignation and reject to that military operation. The talks of the two officials went ahead as planned, despite the Egyptian disapproval towards Israeli policy. Olmert and Mubarak met in the red sea resort of Sharm el- sheikh, the sate television showed images of them talking rapidly and gesturing when their meeting started. Mubrak called on to put an end to acts of violence and avoid all what may hinder peace. He also added that Israel’s security won’t come with raids and bombings.

 Besides Egypt blamed Palestinian authorities concerning the topic of prisoners exchange, the Egyptian president charged Palestinians of indecision and a lack of progress, it is mentioned Mubarak started to mediate for prisoners exchange in June, when an Israeli soldier was captured in Gaza by Palestinian militants who proposed to swap him for hundreds of Palestinians.
