ETA admits!

The Basque separatist organization that have been demanding a Basque nation since 1979, came finally to admit its responsibility in Madrid’s Barajas airport blasts that killed two people and injured a dozen. Besides the Basque movement confirms the nine-month ceasefire is maintained. Pro-independence newspapers issued a statement of the Basque organization in the Basque language in which they said, their intention wasn’t to make any victim.

 

They added authorities are responsible of the massacre, because they have been warned with three calls, but they did nothing to clear the area where the bomb was planted, moreover the two victims were sleeping in their cars when the blast occurred. This was the answer of ETA to the families of victims and the international community in general.

 On the other hand, the Basque organization still blames the government of Jose Louis Rodriguez Zapatero of making no efforts for the advance of the peace process and placing so many obstacles to hinder it, the movement wants the minimal democratic right of the Basque country. While Zapatero remains firm and ask if not warned them violence won’t solve the problem, but just stop talks and hindering any chance to reach an agreement, ETA said it would respond the government aggression. Besides, it is believed there is even a split in the ETA, in which some want to pursue the peace process and some others are radical and stick to their extremist opinions and ideology.
